Since 1971, the Texas Film Commission has supported the media industry, promoting Texas as an ideal place to bring film and television projects.
The Texas Archive of the Moving Image is a non-profit organization working to discover, preserve, provide access to, and educate the community about Texas’ film heritage. Check out their growing film archive for some fantastic rarities.
The Alamo Drafthouse chain of cinemas has also founded an Austin-based distribution company to promote “provocative, visionary and artfully unusual films new and old from around the world”. Check out an Alamo Drafthouse near you!
