Download MP3 audioIn this show, we take a look at the phenomenon of the boomtown, including the most famous examples, the Texas Oil Boomtown. We look at Wink, Tx, a tiny spot in the middle of the West Texas desert which transformed overnight from a horse pasture into a bustling and wild city of 20000. We also look at the current Fracking boom going on today and talk about what oil boomtowns and the oil industry in Texas means to us.
